Welcome to Episode two of Millennium Trek where we explore 2 mysterious caves, and continue our journey towards Bhaisegauda.

Back in 2000, the start of a new millenia, a new trekking trail that went through the culturally rich Gurung and Magar villages of Tanahu and Syangja was initiated, and was given the name, “Millenium Trek”. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Maoist insurgency and various other reasons, this new trail could never get a jumpstart.

After 20 years, with the declaration of visitnepal2020 (which is postponed because of CoronaVirus), the millenium trek committee, locals and the governing bodies have restarted the trail. Given the landscape of Tanahu and Syangja, this trail offers some of the best views of the highest mountains in the world although the highest point of this trek is not more than 1800m.

We were invited as an initiative to reignite the trail by the Millenium Trek Committee, via Mandala IT solutions. It was deep winter, early December, one of the best times to visit this trail. This episode is full of adventures, alongwith beautiful Gurung and Magar villages, dance, music and culture. Weather wasn’t very favorable for us though. We leave Sadikhola, have lunch at Kelkha, stop at Pokharichhap for the day and start the next morning with the visit to Kolma Kot. After having popcorns for snacks at Kolma Kot, we stop at Jyamire for lunch, get grand goodbye with Panche baja and reach Bhaisigauda. The weather gets gloomy, and we explore the mysterious cave of Rangbhang.

This is a fairly easy trail suitable for everyone.
