Ramkumari Jhankri, who returned to the UML just 2.5 months ago after nearly four years in the CPN (Unified Socialist), has won the National Assembly seat from Lumbini Province.
She won easily due to the alliance between Nepali Congress and UML in Sunday’s National Assembly election.

During her return to parliament after four years, Jhankri secured 6,303 votes. The Congress-UML alliance won all three seats from Lumbini.
In the women’s category, Jhankri won, while in the disability quota, Congress candidate Vasudev Ghimire ‘Jangali’ won with 5,322 votes.
